Although the EPA has established and enforced emissions requirements in the form of “Tiers” since 1996, the biggest cuts in emissions are just a few years away from being enforced, bringing a surge of conversation and concern for the off-highway industry. Interim Tier 4 (IT4) has become the hot topic recently and discussions regarding Final Tier 4 emissions standards will begin to rise to the surface in the coming months.
