Your pictures brought back many memories. My father had many small businesses in the country (Simonton, Texas), but he loved farming.Had about 100 mules in 1938, but the next year bought our first "Popping Jonnie" and reduced our mule population in half. Well remember the 2 gallon gasoline tank because that what you had to use along with opening the relief cocks in each cylinder when you turned over the finger grip fly wheel to start this tractor -- after starting, switched to kerosine (10 cents a gallon)which was an excellent, inexpensive fuel to use while the tractor was working in the fields.I left the farm for degrees in Veterinary and then Human medicine, but that tractor stayed around for almost 20 years doing its job.
