The latest member of the John Deere Gator family is strong, tough, and powerful and makes the jobs that are performed while using the equipment more fun. The company describes the Gator 855D as a “fun-tastic performer,” and Horticulture Week agrees with this assessment.

According to the news source, the engineers were given free reign in the designing of the John Deere Gator 855D, and it shows. The machine is held together and given a high level of stability by a new and robust steel frame. This helps to increase the user’s confidence when climbing hills, coping with high slopes, wading through water or dashing through fields.

The number of people in the U.S. that have used John Deere tractors has stayed consistent over the years, thanks in part to the company’s continued improvements to new models and the advent of innovative technology.

Although the new tractors are as popular as ever, many John Deere enthusiasts are still drawn to older and antique models that they may have grown fond of during their childhood or previous years on the farm.

The prevalence of the antique tractor market has led to some Americans finding a niche market, and creating a business that would help to provide John Deere enthusiasts with a place to find parts for their favorite models.

The History

Though John Deere fashioned his first polished-steel plow in Grand Detour, Illinois, in 1837, the evolution of his company took years and remained a small operation for quite some time. By the time he had employed 16 people, the operation was without a name and a logo.

However, in 1868, more than 31 years after John Deere’s operation started as a partnership or single proprietorship, it was incorporated under the name Deere & Company.

The company existed for several years and after a brief spell of success, and then failure, the operations began to solidify and consolidate in Illinois. In 1876, after some deliberation, John Deere registered a logo, the “leaping deer” trademark.

The evolution of a company is generally tracked by its ability to adjust to the latest technological advances and enhance their market presence through innovation and effective marketing. John Deere has done this for more than 175 years, and its recent social media push ensures that the next generation of John Deere fans will be able stay connected with the business.

As the brand saw its number of followers shoot past 1,000,000, it continued to update its page in order to provide resources and information about John Deere products and industry news.

Love for John Deere products is something that is common all over America, as people who have used farm equipment and seen the way that the company’s machines have shaped the agricultural industry show their devotion to the brand in many ways. One man, Chesterfield, Virginia resident Keith Jones, has taken his love for John Deere tractors and turned it into a passionate hobby, working at the Keystone Tractor Works Museum in Colonial Heights. Here he has found success in collecting and restoring antique farm tractors, according to the Chesterfield Village News.

The relationship between John Deere and its fans has grown over the years, but the agricultural giant is now able to offer more resources to these individuals due to the advent of the internet.

The company’s website provides fans with an assortment of online activities that range from John Deere games to John Deere coloring.

Adults may be inclined to look at product information, helpful farming tips and at the various models of farm equipment that are available, but children will now be able to use the website for both entertainment and educational purposes.
