To meet the demands of customers who have been on the hunt for a machine that packs a punch without wasting fuel, John Deere has rolled out the new 200G Excavator. This piece of equipment is designed for tough jobs, and it can potentially lower overall operating costs. When combined with Deere’s bucket portfolio, coupler options and attachments, and accelerated swing speed, the 200G can tackle a wide range of tasks at the job site.
“Many of our customers are balancing tight budgets with the need for maximum power and productivity on the job,” said Jonny Spendlove, excavator product marketing manager, John Deere Construction & Forestry. “With the new 200G Excavator, we are giving our customers the best of both worlds. This machine is built with fuel-saving at the forefront of its design, while also incorporating several productivity-boosting features to help operators efficiently complete jobs.”
Let’s take a look at some of the key features and highlights of the 200G Excavator from John Deere.
Powerful Engine
The 200G has an EPA Final Tier 4/EU Stage IV engine which uses field-proven cooled exhaust recirculation for reducing NOX. It’s also easy to maintain with its high-uptime exhaust filters, and it employs selective catalytic reduction to reduce particulate matter. Hydraulically-driven fans run only as fast as needed, reducing noise and fuel consumption.
Convenient Controls
Ergonomically correct short-throw pilot levers make it easy to precisely control the machine with your fingers. Push buttons in the right lever also allow for predictable control of auxiliary hydraulic flow for operating attachments.
Heightened Productivity
The 200G Excavator has impressive dig forces and lift capacities, delivering up to 9% more productivity than the 180G LC model. With the Powerwise Plus™ hydraulic-management system, engine performance and hydraulic flow are balanced for more reliable operation.
Extra Visibility
Operators will enjoy the quiet, spacious cab which features all-around visibility for convenience and safety purposes. The multi-language LCD monitor provides guidance to customers, enabling them to access a wealth of information and functions directly from inside of the machine.
Simple Serviceability
Serviceability is a breeze with the 200G Excavator. Its large fuel tank and 500- and 5,000-hour engine and hydraulic oil-service intervals reduce the amount of downtime necessary for maintenance. Additionally, fluid-sample and remote diagnostic ports speed up preventative maintenance, as well as troubleshooting.
