Folks will pay for quality. Even on 30-year old used combines.

More proof came at an August 8, 2013 farm auction in Bird Island, MN where a 1984 John Deere 7720 combine in nifty condition with 2,175 hours sold for $24,500 (see pic above, combine sold w/out head). That is a very strong sale price comparing with the other 607 auction sale prices I’ve compiled on JD 7720 combines over the past 23+ years.

I’ve only seen (2) JD 7720 combines (pre Titan II model 7720’s from 1985-1988) sold higher at auction the past few years. Here are pics and specs on those machines:
