John Deere has expanded its customer outreach over the past several years, as the company has remained at the forefront of offering advice, product news and deals via social media and other internet sites.
The company has seen the benefits of customer feedback and is looking to increase the level of input that its users have in shaping the next line of models. While it has opened up a number of new forums and a Facebook page with extensive consumer tips, it will also provide a number of resources via blogs to help people who have or intend to purchase its equipment.
John Deere introduced the Emissions Hub Blog in January 2012, as the company looked to provide users with a number of tools to combat the rising fuel costs and other cost-increasing factors that are presented by the growing number of regulations in the industry.
“The Emissions Hub is intended to improve our customers’ competitiveness in these challenging times by offering expert business resources, technology updates and news on emissions standards,” said Geoff Stigler, manager of worldwide marketing for John Deere Power Systems. “Blog visitors will be able to explore our resources, provide feedback and return frequently for the latest news and regulatory requirements – obtaining all the information they need to develop strategies and make the right decisions for their business.”
This resource also allows customers to see a variety of resources about the state of the industry in relation to emissions regulations, as categories on the site range from compliance and education to myths & facts and innovation. New products are discussed and regulations and their impact are outlined for John Deere users.
“As questions arise, the Emissions Hub blog provides a place to come for answers. We look forward to listening to our customers and providing valuable information and insight to make compliance an opportunity, not an obstacle,” said Joe Mastanduno, product marketing manager for the company’s Construction & Forestry division.
Mastanduno runs the Fleet Talk Blog, which is loaded with videos and other resources to provide John Deere customers with the latest news regarding construction products and the changing nature of the industry. Topics that are covered included the benefits of electric traction and low tier machine options.
