In an effort to get more from less, today’s crop producers are often times turning to technological advancements in agriculture. These advancements, labeled as agriculture management solutions (AMS), are designed to allow for year-round application, faster job performance, and stronger yields. Any one (or combination) of these solutions will surely lead to increased levels of production, which is something all producers strive for.
John Deere offers a full line of agriculture management solutions than range from intuitive displays and receivers aboard agriculture equipment to documentation technologies designed to simplify planning in the office. However, we understand it may not seem natural, especially for more traditional farmers, to operate and incorporate these technologies into their practices. In an effort to make adoption of these technologies a bit more seamless, we’ve put together a video gallery showcasing the ins and outs of six of John Deere’s agriculture management solutions to give a better understanding of how they work, enjoy!
The GreenStar Lightbar display provides equipment operators with a nice visual look at their alignment in the field. The 27 tracking LED lights tell operators whether their machine is on course or not by communicating with the StarFire receiver. Watch the video to learn more about this useful guidance system.
iTEC Pro Steering System
iTEC Pro integrates satellite-based AutoTrac automatic steering and the Implement Management System (IMS) to provide fully automatic control of the tractor functions resulting in hands-free steering, perfect passes and headland turns. Watch this video to identify the difference between manual steering and iTEC and also see how iTEC utilizes satellite technology to perfect the steering process.
Reducing input costs, working in low-visibility conditions, increased comfort and time to focus on what really counts are all important to the crop production process. While the tractor is often times the leader of the process, it’s important to not forget the importance of the implement it’s pulling. Implement drift on curved and sloped fields can reduce efficiency, but through the use of iGuide, producers can keep their implement on an A-B line regardless of terrain. Watch this video to see all of its features.
While iGuide is Deere’s solution for pulled implements, iSteer is developed to support all kinds of 3-point mounted and drawbar-steered implements. Some of the key benefits of iSteer include automatic implement adjustment, higher yields, reduced input costs, and reduced soil compaction. Watch this video to see how iSteer can help producers, especially those who deal with specialty crops, prepare their fields and return a profitable yield.
Deer’s i-Sprayer Solutions improve productivity, enable accurate application, are easy to use and simplify documentation. They help answer to the management and operational issues that have been addressed by farmers and spraying contractors for years. Watch this video to learn more about these products and how they can benefit the overall spraying process.
