Engine

The John Deere 744K has an EPA Final Tier 4/EU Stage IV diesel engine that does not sacrifice torque to meet environmental standards. It operates at a maximum of 303 horsepower with a rated speed of 1500rpm, and it requires little maintenance over time.

Axles

The Teammate V Axles of the John Deere 744K have standard cooling and filtration, as well as on-the-fly engageable front differential lock. In turn, operators can rest assured that they have the traction they need on challenging terrain. The axle oil’s cleaning system ultimately increases the longevity and durability of the axles.

Quad-Cool™

The John Deere 744K comes with Quad-Cool, which means the radiator, air conditioner condenser, intercooler, hydraulics, transmission and optional axle coolers are in a boxed configuration. This keeps them all isolated from the heat of the engine for optimal performance.

Brakes

Brake drag is reduced on the John Deere 744K, thanks to brake reactors and automatic self-adjustors. These components maintain a constant brake running clearance with compliance, as well as less heat.

Service Points

All of the daily service points for the John Deere 744K, including fuel, have been grouped on the left side of the machine. This makes it quick and easy to access the service areas at ground level. Sight gauges are also available for simple fluid level checks on the go. The hydraulic tank has been moved beneath the steps, which maintains rear visibility without increasing the size of the rear hood.

This wheel loader comes with John Deere WorkSight, which is easy-to-use and comprehensive. It provides data to operators that can help increase uptime and productivity while reducing operating costs. The John Deere 744K also has LOADRITE L2180, which is integrated into JDLink Ultimate for remote viewing and additional analysis.
