To provide new options for fairway caretakers seeking a boost in productivity, John Deere has launched the 6080A and 6500A E-Cut™ Hybrid Fairway Mowers. These models utilize electric reel drive technology to enhance performance and meet all the needs of the operator.

“Every course has specific needs, and it is important for superintendents to have a wide variety of options available to create the right mix for their fleet,” said Brad Aldridge, product manager for John Deere Golf. “With this in mind, we’ve continued to evolve our fairway mower line so we are a one-stop-shop for our customers. From our E-Cut Hybrid models to the PrecisionCut™ machines, we’re providing a vast number of productive, powerful solutions.”

Let’s take a look at some of the features of the 6080A and 6500A Fairway Mowers and how they can potentially help you on the job.

6080A E-Cut Hybrid Fairway Mower

The 6080A E-Cut Hybrid Fairway Mower comes with a 24.7 horsepower diesel engine, which is specially designed to provide ample power, boosting overall efficiency. It also has a three-wheel smooth tire configuration and an extremely durable mower chassis. In terms of specs, the 6080A has 18-inch QA5 cutting units, which provide an 80-inch width of cut. This means operators can tackle a large area in a short amount of time. Hydraulic wet disk brakes come standard on the 6080A, eliminating linkage adjustments and grease points in the brake system. This model also features a TechControl display, allowing turf managers and technicians to input commands to enhance performance.

6500A E-Cut Hybrid Fairway Mower

Similar to the 6080A, the 6500A E-Cut Hybrid Fairway Mower has a 24.7 horsepower diesel engine and a three-wheel smooth tire configuration. However, it differs in specs, coming with 22-inch QA5 cutting units to provide a 100-inch width of cut. The 6500A features hydraulic wet disk brakes, as well as a TechControl display for turf managers and technicians to send commands to the machine from afar. The hybrid reel drive system provides more power for the all-wheel-drive traction system.
