Sold for $26,000 on recent farm auction in northwest Illinois

This 1970 JD 4020 with 5,762 hours sold on an August 14, 2010 farm auction in northwest Illinois is the 4th highest auction sale price I’ve seen in the last decade on a 4020. This tractor was a “one owner”, diesel, with side console.

Average Auction Price on JD 4020 Tractors sold in 2010: $9,609

Average Auction Price on JD 4020 Tractors sold in 2000: $7,881

    Yes, I’ve seen (16) JD 140’s sell at auction over last decade or so…fairly rare item. The nicest ones have sold in the $900 -$1,500 range at auction. (2) sold for $1,500 each on a collector auction in northeast Indiana back in 2010.
