When you’re operating heavy machinery all day, you know how important it is to ensure that you’re comfortable while you work. This is where John Deere CommandPRO comes into play. This customizable, ergonomic joystick enables operators to control everything from tractor speed to direction. In short, you’ll have more opportunity to focus on the machine and what is going on in front of you rather than directing all of your attention to the controls.
Initiating Tractor Movement 7 Series / 8 Series Tractors
With CommandPRO, initiating tractor movement acceleration and deceleration is a breeze. Simply press the activation button on the underside of the implement, move the joystick in the direction you wish to travel, and you’re on the go!
Inching Control 7 Series / 8 Series Tractors
Inching control is essential when you are connecting to or disconnecting from implements, or while operating in confined areas. With inching control, you can move forward or reverse slowly without having to use the brake or the clutch paddles you would commonly use.
Changing Directions 7 Series / 8 Series Tractors
Operators have three different options when it comes to changing the direction of their tractor with CommandPRO. The easiest way to do so is by performing a shuttle shift, as demonstrated in the video above. This can be done by pressing and holding the activation button while shifting the joystick to the left or the right. During this process, the direction of travel will be shown on the corner post display as the tractor changes direction.
Set Speeds 7 Series / 8 Series Tractors
With CommandPRO, operators can adjust and store three-speed settings. This is a quick and easy way to switch speeds on the fly. Whether the tractor needs to operate at a specific speed for fieldwork or road transport, this technology makes it simple to alternate between all of the settings.
Reconfigurable Controls 7 Series / 8 Series Tractors
Perhaps one of the biggest highlights of the CommandPRO is that it has reconfigurable controls that allow operators to manage different settings. All of the buttons on the joystick can be set to perform different functions, making each piece of machinery easier to utilize out in the field. This means simpler operation and less stress during the workday.
